Amman: Director General of the National Aid Fund (NAF) Khitam Al Shinikat met with Egypt’s Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity and Head of the Central Administration for Social Protection Ahmed Abdelrahman to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise between the two countries in the field of social protection.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting involved a comprehensive review of the National Aid Fund’s initiatives, including the Unified Cash Support Programme, targeting and verification mechanisms, and monthly assistance schemes. Economic empowerment initiatives aimed at fostering self-reliance among beneficiary families were also discussed.
As part of the visit, the Egyptian delegation toured the Fund’s premises, gaining insights into the operation of the Call Center, its procedures for managing inquiries and complaints, and the digital mapping department’s role in supporting field monitoring operations through technology.
Khitam Al Shinikat highlighted the significance of reinforcing cooperation and exchanging expertise between Jordan and Egypt to improve services for the most vulnerable groups. Meanwhile, Ahmed Abdelrahman commended the advancements in Jordan’s social protection systems, underscoring the importance of continuous coordination and knowledge sharing between the two nations.
