Amman: Agriculture Minister Saeb Khreisat on Thursday received Colombia’s accredited non-resident ambassador to Jordan, Edwin Ostos Alfonso, and Presidential Advisor Victor de Currea-Lugo, during an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the agriculture sector. Khreisat emphasized the Jordanian-Colombian ties and called for activating a draft memorandum of understanding focused on agricultural cooperation, including the exchange of expertise and modern production technologies.
According to Jordan News Agency, Khreisat highlighted opportunities to expand the mutual trade balance, particularly in high-quality agricultural goods, to benefit producers and consumers in both markets. Alfonso expressed Colombia’s readiness to take all necessary steps to enhance cooperation and explore new avenues for partnership in agricultural and economic sectors to serve common interests.
