Amman: A joint communique establishing official diplomatic relations between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Kingdom of Bhutan was signed on Monday in New York. The agreement marks a significant step in strengthening the friendly ties between the two nations.
According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement aims to enhance bilateral cooperation and establish institutional frameworks across various fields. These fields include political, economic, social, cultural, and scientific domains, all designed to serve the mutual interests of both nations.
The joint communique was signed at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of Jordan to the United Nations. Representing their respective governments, Jordan's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Walid Obeidat, and Bhutan's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Tenzin Wangchuk, formalized the agreement.
