Jordan Airports Operating Normally Despite Weather System, Says CARC Chief

Amman: Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), Captain Dhaifallah Farajat, stated that air navigation at the Kingdom's airports has been operating normally and regularly since the morning hours, despite the region being affected by the prevailing weather depression.

According to Jordan News Agency, Farajat explained that operational activities at the various airports have not recorded any significant delays or cancellations. Flights, whether arriving or departing, have continued to operate according to approved schedules with high smoothness.

Farajat highlighted the high level of readiness of technical and operational staff and their ability to efficiently manage changing weather conditions. He noted that daily air traffic at Jordanian airports exceeds 240 arriving and departing flights to regional and international destinations, transporting more than 26,000 passengers through the Kingdom's airports.

Farajat emphasized that the approved plans for dealing with different weather conditions ensure continuity of operations and passenger safety. This involves close monitoring of weather updates and continuous coordination with relevant authorities, in line with the highest international safety standards.
