JoPACC and INJAZ Collaborate to Enhance Financial Literacy in Jordanian Universities

Amman: Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC) and INJAZ, a local NGO, have renewed their cooperation agreement aimed at promoting the integration of digital financial services within Jordanian universities and expanding awareness of these services among university students.

According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement is part of a shared commitment by JoPACC and INJAZ to empower youth and university students with essential knowledge through training sessions and updated data on digital payment solutions. This initiative also aims to equip beneficiaries with necessary skills to enhance their financial awareness and competitiveness in the job market.

The program, which will be implemented in four governorates, includes training sessions for students from Yarmouk University in Irbid, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University in Ma’an, Al al-Bayt University in Mafraq, and Mu’tah University in Karak. The initiative seeks to broaden its reach beyond the capital, Amman, to promote financial inclusion throughout the Kingdom.

INJAZ has previously trained university and school students on various issues, with a focus on financial literacy. Building on its extensive experience, JoPACC will train INJAZ volunteers who will then transfer this expertise to university students across Jordan.

Under the agreement, students will have the opportunity to acquire advanced digital financial skills that align with the rapid changes in the finance and business sectors, contributing to greater financial inclusion across the Kingdom.
