JMD expects moderate weather until Thursday

Mercury levels are expected to hover around annual average, so moderate weather conditions will prevail countrywide, with clouds at various altitudes, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.

Toward Friday, the Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions, but it will remain fair with cloudy skies and a chance of light and spotty showers in the evening, accompanied by thunder at times, the JMD predicted.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Wednesday will range between 23 and 26 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 14C or even 10C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be hotter with mercury reaching a high of 31C and a low of 19C.
