Irbid: The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), in collaboration with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has successfully delivered the sixth and final batch of sponsorships to Syrian refugee families residing in Irbid. This event marks the conclusion of a comprehensive three-year housing support project designed to enhance the living conditions of vulnerable Syrian refugees.
According to Jordan News Agency, the initiative was focused on providing essential housing and financial support to families struggling due to debilitating spinal cord or muscular ailments affecting a family member, which significantly hinder their ability to work and maintain their households. The program aimed at establishing a stable living environment for refugees facing severe challenges.
Hussein Shibli, Secretary-General of the JHCO, commented that the program’s third and final year exemplifies a dedicated effort to improve the living standards of Syrian refugees. He underscored the ongoing pa
rtnership with KSrelief, which has been crucial to achieving the program’s goals effectively.
Naif Shammari, Director of KSrelief’s Jordan branch, emphasized the Center’s commitment to backing projects that prioritize the needs of vulnerable groups, including the elderly and those with disabilities. He affirmed KSrelief’s dedication to enhancing the economic and social well-being of refugees unable to secure employment due to physical limitations.
