JFDA: Project Launched to Automate 171 Services

Amman: Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, has launched a project to automate a total of 171 services to streamline end-user transactions. During the launching ceremony, JFDA Director General Dr. Nizar Mhidat highlighted the administration’s commitment to completing its digital shift, having already automated 83 services out of the total figure.

According to Jordan News Agency, Mhidat stated that work is “still ongoing” to finalize the automation of all JFDA services, with the aim of developing services that effectively meet recipients’ needs. This project is part of the implementation of the Economic Modernization Vision (EMV), where automation is a priority due to its impact on enhancing services, supporting the national economy, and boosting exports.

Mhidat elaborated on the project’s goals, which include faster registration of drugs and medical supplies, quicker tracking of food and pharmaceutical products, and developing a clearer vision of the national stock of food and drugs to accelerate supply. He emphasized that the initiative is being carried out with transparency, governance, and compliance with existing regulatory legislation.
