Jerash:The Greater Jerash Municipality and the Royal Automobile Club of Jordan (RACJ) have signed a memorandum of cooperation to enhance traffic safety through the "Safe School Zones" project. This initiative is designed to create a safer traffic environment for children and students in school areas.
According to Jordan News Agency, the RACJ is executing the project with financial backing from the FIA Foundation (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile). The initiative focuses on securing safer commuting routes for students by analyzing traffic risk factors and implementing targeted engineering modifications around schools.
Mohammad Bani Yaseen, Head of the Municipal Committee, highlighted the collaboration's importance in strengthening Jerash's overall traffic safety framework. He emphasized that protecting school children during their daily commutes is a top priority, requiring joint action among municipal, national, and international institutions.
