Issawi attends 3 agreements to launch factory branches in Jordan’s underprivileged regions

Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, Youssef Hassan Issawi, head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of His Majesty’s initiatives, on Thursday attended the signing ceremony of three agreements to establish production branches for factories and companies in Ma’an’s Al-Jafr district, Umm al-Jimal region in northern Badia in Mafraq governorate and Faisaliah area in central Madaba city.

Establishment of these new projects comes under Productive Branches Initiative, which was launched under Royal directives in 2008, aiming to kick off production branches for factories and companies in specific villages and governorates countrywide.

The new plants aim to provide job opportunities for youth after receiving rehabilitative training programs to work in these factories.

Under the first agreement, which was signed by Minister of Labor, Nayef Istitiah and Commander of Jordan Royal Air Force (JRAF) and Takatof for Agricultural and Industrial Investments, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Hiasat, the company will establish an aquaculture farm to breed aquatic organisms, which will provide 60 job opportunities for Al-Jafr district and the surrounding areas.

As for the second agreement, which was signed by Istitiah and Golden Mask Manufacturers & Wholesalers Chairman, Radwan Khattab, a production unit will be established in the field of manufacturing medical garments in Faisaliah district in Madaba governorate, providing 150 job opportunities for the region’s people.

The third agreement, which was signed by Istitiah, New Umm al-Jimal Municipality Mayor, Hassan Rhaiba, and Chairman of AL MIMARI Company, Ammar Hijazi, a branch for the production of PVC plastic profiles to produce doors and windows will be established in Umm al-Jimal area in the Northern Badia district on a 10- dunum municipal land, which will create 150 job opportunities for the area’s residents.
