Israel’s Actions in Gaza Result in Death of 246 Journalists

Gaza: The number of journalists killed since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza has risen to 246, following the death of journalist Hassan Douhan, the Government Media Office in Gaza announced Monday. In a statement, the Media Office strongly condemned what it described as the systematic targeting and assassination of Palestinian journalists by Israeli forces.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Media Office urged the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists, and media organizations worldwide to denounce Israel’s repeated attacks against journalists and media professionals in Gaza. It called on the international community, human rights bodies, and global journalism organizations to take urgent action to condemn and deter Israel’s violations.

The Office emphasized the need for accountability in international courts, the protection of journalists, and immediate measures to end what it termed as crimes being committed against media workers in the enclave.
