Gaza: The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported Monday that 20 Palestinians, including four journalists, were killed in an Israeli bombing of the Nasser Medical Complex in southern Gaza.
According to Jordan News Agency, an additional 24 people, including two children, died from famine and malnutrition, raising the total death toll to 300, with 117 of them being children. The ministry highlighted that Israeli forces targeted the fourth floor of the hospital in Khan Younis, followed by subsequent strikes on the site. Ambulances and civil defense teams arrived promptly to evacuate the victims.
The ministry condemned the attack on the hospital, as well as the targeting of medical crews, civil defense staff, and journalists, stating it is part of a systematic effort to destroy Gaza’s health infrastructure and continues what they termed as genocide. They urgently appealed for international intervention to protect medical and humanitarian workers in Gaza.
The journalists who were killed in the strike were identified as Hussam Al-Masri, a cameraman for Palestine TV; Mohammad Salameh, a cameraman for Al Jazeera; Mariam Abu Dakka, a correspondent for Independent Arabia; and Moaz Abu Taha from the US NBC TV network.
