Israeli forces injure Palestinian demonstrators in occupied West Bank

Israeli occupation forces Tuesday cracked down and injured Palestinian demonstrators in Jerusalem and Bethlehem, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

The PRCS stated that clashes broke out anew between the Palestinian citizens and Israeli troops after the latter raided the Palestinian villages of Abu Dies, Anata, Ram and al-Sawahreh that have been witnessing large demonstrations calling for an end to the ongoing heavy bombardment against besieged Gaza.

The Israeli troops also hurled tear gas and skunk water and opened fire on Palestinians, injuring many, it added.

In adjacent Bethlehem, where Palestinians have also been protesting the Israeli military campaign against Gaza, the Israeli forces quashed demonstrators, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

It said more than 14 demonstrators in Bethlehem were injured in the clashes up to 3 pm, highlighting that two of the injured had been shot and rushed to hospital.
