Israeli Forces Arrest 40 Palestinians in West Bank, Jerusalem

Jerusalem: Israeli forces on Tuesday carried out wide-scale raids and arrests across multiple areas in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, amid clashes in several locations. In a statement, Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC) said Israeli forces stormed a number of Palestinian areas and detained 40 Palestinians, including children, claiming they were wanted.

According to Jordan News Agency, settlers entered the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque-Al-Haram Al-Sharif through the Mughrabi Gate under heavy protection by Israeli police. Meanwhile, the Jordan-run Islamic Waqf (Endowments) Department in Jerusalem reported that dozens of settlers toured the compound and performed Talmudic rituals, describing the move as a serious escalation in violations against Islamic holy sites.

The department noted that Israeli forces intensified measures against Palestinian worshipers, restricting access and confiscating ID cards at the mosque's gates.
