Israeli authorities’ measures in West Bank displace 100 Palestinians

The UN Wednesday reported that some 100 Palestinians were forced out of their homes in the Ras Al Tin herding community in occupied Ramallah due to Israeli measures against them, as residents complain of “intolerable” conditions.

According to the United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), 19 Palestinian families of 100 people, out of 35 families residing in the community, most of them children, left the Bedouin community in Area C of the occupied West Bank.

The Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process and the Humanitarian Coordinator in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Lynn Hastings, spoke before the UN Security Council on July 26, 2022, about the occurrence of “worrying” incidents in the Ras Al Tin gathering, noting that accountability must be held.
