Sidon: Two people lost their lives and four others were injured following a series of Israeli air strikes near Sidon in southern Lebanon, as reported by a Lebanese security source on Saturday.
According to Jordan News Agency, Israeli warplanes conducted 10 raids, targeting bulldozer and heavy machinery showrooms along a highway in the Sidon district, which subsequently caught fire. The attacks have led to significant destruction in the area, leaving debris scattered across the highway.
The Lebanese security source indicated that civil defense crews are actively working to clear the debris and reopen the Al Museileh-Zahrani highway. Search teams have also been deployed to locate any missing individuals following the strikes.
The source further mentioned that Israeli aircraft have been focusing on bulldozers and cranes engaged in rubble removal in Lebanese towns affected by the recent Israeli war on Lebanon.
