Israeli military authorities Tuesday handed out house demolition orders to four families in a village, northwest of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, under the pretext they had no construction permits.
Ibrahim Awadallah, the Popular Committee to Resist the Wall and Settlements official in Al Walaja, said in a press release that the homes belonged to four brothers from Abuttin family.
The area has for years been the target of land confiscations to expand a Jewish settlement in which dozens of homes were razed or construction of which was halted, he said.
