Israel Escalates Airstrikes and Shelling in Southern Lebanon

Beirut: The Israeli army has intensified its airstrikes and artillery shelling in southern Lebanon, targeting towns in Tyre and Nabatieh. The escalation began on Saturday morning, with simultaneous shelling of the villages of Mansouri, Qlaileh, and Haniyeh, located south of Tyre, as reported by a Lebanese security source.

According to Jordan News Agency, Israeli aircraft also targeted power generators that provide electricity to several towns in the south. These strikes resulted in the destruction of the generators, leaving them ablaze and causing power outages in the affected areas.

In a related development, the Beirut Doctors Syndicate expressed sorrow over the loss of three doctors who were killed in the Israeli raids on Friday. The syndicate has issued a plea to exclude medical, ambulance, and nursing personnel from military operations to ensure their safety.
