Irbid Industry Chamber Runs Factory Maintenance Planning Course

Irbid: The Irbid Chamber of Industry (ICI) held a specialized training program titled "Maintenance Management and Planning in Factories," in cooperation with the Chamber of Craft in Cologne (HWK Cologne), as part of efforts to upskill the industrial workforce and strengthen sector competitiveness.

According to Jordan News Agency, ICI President Hani Abu Hassan emphasized that advanced, practice-oriented training is essential for upgrading technical and managerial capabilities in factories. He noted that stronger maintenance systems and disciplined planning can lead to lower operating costs, higher production efficiency, and improved competitiveness for Jordanian products in both domestic and export markets.

Hani Abu Hassan added that the cooperation with HWK Cologne reflects ICI's commitment to expanding international partnerships and transferring global expertise to Irbid's industrial base. This effort aligns with the Economic Modernization Vision's targets to support industry and enable sustainable growth.

The program is designed to familiarize participants with modern industrial maintenance frameworks and tools, including effective maintenance planning, cost estimation, and implementation approaches that support durable, repeatable results inside manufacturing facilities. The course is conducted over several days during Ramadan.

ICI stated that the training is part of its core mandate to serve the industrial sector by building institutional capacity, improving human capital, and equipping companies with practical instruments to strengthen performance and long-term sustainability. This supports broader national economic development.
