Tel Aviv: The Iranian military issued an evacuation warning early Tuesday for the Ramat Gan area in Tel Aviv, Israel following an earlier Israeli announcement warning residents to leave central Tehran ahead of possible airstrikes.
According to Anadolu Agency, in a statement shared by Iranian media, the Iranian Armed Forces urged civilians in Ramat Gan to evacuate immediately, warning of a potential strike within hours. The statement emphasized the urgency and potential danger, advising civilians to leave to ensure their safety amidst escalating tensions.
The Iranian warning came shortly after the Israeli army called on residents of Tehran’s Seventh District to evacuate, signaling its intention to target the area with airstrikes. The Israeli army spokesperson advised residents to avoid the area for the next few hours, claiming that military operations would focus on Iranian regime military infrastructure.
The Israeli army issued an “urgent warning” to those in what it referred to as “Square 7” in Tehran, supported by a map attached to their statement on X. The army has repeatedly warned Iranians in several areas of Tehran about the potential for strikes on government military infrastructure.
Regional tensions have sharply escalated since Sunday after the United States bombed Iran’s Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities. These US attacks were part of a broader US-backed Israeli military offensive against Iran, which began on June 13, leading Tehran to retaliate with strikes on Israel.
Israeli authorities reported that at least 25 people have been killed and hundreds injured in Iranian missile attacks since the escalation. Meanwhile, the Iranian Health Ministry stated that at least 430 people have been killed and more than 3,500 wounded in the ongoing Israeli assault.
