Investment Minister Engages Leading Chinese Companies to Boost Cooperation

Beijing: Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh met with Ren Hongbin, Chair of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), on the sidelines of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) in Beijing on Wednesday. The discussions explored opportunities for Chinese companies to participate in infrastructure, transportation, logistics, energy, and industrial projects in Jordan.

According to Jordan News Agency, Abu Ghazaleh discussed Jordan's investment reforms, which have improved the ease of doing business and strengthened the Kingdom's competitiveness. He emphasized Jordan's strategic location at the crossroads of regional and global markets, positioning it as a key hub for trade, logistics, and supply chain connectivity. Ren expressed CCPIT's interest in expanding cooperation with Jordan, strengthening business ties between Amman and Beijing, and supporting partnerships in sectors of mutual interest.

Abu Ghazaleh met with several leading Chinese companies, including Cainiao Smart Logistics Network, a major player in logistics and e-commerce supply chains, and Sinofert and Sinochem Holdings, which operate in the fertilizer and agricultural technology sectors. Discussions focused on investment opportunities in Jordan, particularly in regional distribution, food security, phosphate and potash-based industries, and other priority sectors.

He toured a bus manufacturing facility supplying Jordan's Southern Badia school transportation project, discussing investment opportunities in the Kingdom's transportation manufacturing sector and the integration of advanced technologies to boost industrial capacity and competitiveness. Abu Ghazaleh's visit will continue with meetings and business engagements designed to promote Jordan's investment opportunities and foster deeper economic and industrial collaboration with China.
