INTAJ, Ukraine’s EIC sign agreement to increase ICT cooperation

The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (INTAJ), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Exporters and Investors Council (EIC) of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the aim of strengthening joint trade relations and economic cooperation.

According to an INTAJ statement on Wednesday, “strategic” business partnerships among the two countries’ business communities will be strengthened, and their businesspeople and companies would be encouraged to exchange visits and hold meetings under the MoU.

Signing the MoU, INTAJ head, Eid Sweis, said the memorandum aims to find “new” markets for the ICT sector’s exports, pointing out that the Ukrainian market is is witnessing “remarkable” competition in the information technology field.

Sweis also noted the exchange of ICT expertise will be a “major” theme of the INTAJ-EIC partnership, and that Jordanian companies operating in the sector have an opportunity to network with their Ukrainian counterpart.

For his part, the EIC representative, Dmytro Senek, said Ukraine and Jordan have “important” joint trade, industrial and cultural links.

The MoU helps to publish all relevant information to enhance bilateral trade and business, in addition to providing joint support in trade, investment and business, Senek pointed out.
