Intaj to launch Jordanian pavilion at LEAP Saudi Arabia 2023

Amman, Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Intaj) is scheduled to launch a Jordanian pavilion at LEAP Tech Conference in Saudi Arabia 2023 at Riyadh Front Expo Centre.

According to an Intaj statement issued on Sunday, the conference will be held from February 6-9, with the participation of 15 Jordanian companies operating in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector.

Intaj stressed the importance of Jordan’s participation for the second year in a row in this global event, as the largest tech conference and exhibition concerned with technology future and its role to achieve world prosperity.

Nidal Bitar, Intaj CEO, said Saudi Arabia is one of the “key” markets for Jordanian companies working in the ICT sector, especially as it accounts for a quarter of the Jordanian sector’s exports annually.

Also, he stressed importance of Jordan’s presence in Saudi Arabia to invest in the available opportunities with implementation of Saudi Vision 2030, which is largely based on digital transformation.

Saudi Arabia has introduced 5th generation technologies, and has begun to deal “strongly” with cybersecurity and rolled out other modern technologies, he noted, adding that this shift to technology provides “remarkable” opportunities for Jordanian companies, given their “great expertise”.

Software development activity generates the highest revenues in addition to the highest contribution to exports of Jordan’s ICT industry, he pointed out.

Jordan, he noted, hosts about 1,200 local companies working in the ICT sector, which constitutes a source of innovation and skills development in Jordan.
