Intaj and EFE-Jordan Collaborate on New Initiatives for Digital Outsourcing and Youth Employment

Amman: Intaj and the Education For Employment-Jordan (EFE-Jordan) have announced plans to develop new projects aimed at bolstering youth employment in the digital outsourcing sector, while simultaneously enhancing the capacity of Jordanian technology firms to penetrate international markets. During a coordination meeting, both organizations discussed strategies for the next phase of their partnership.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting highlighted priorities and mechanisms necessary to build on the achievements of their ongoing collaboration. The envisioned programs will focus on providing youth with training aligned with labor market demands, thereby supporting Jordanian companies in enhancing their competitive capabilities and marketing their services on a regional and international scale.

The session reviewed past joint projects, including an assessment of 51 Jordanian IT companies' capabilities and competitive advantages, resulting in the selection of 10 companies for a specialized capacity-building initiative. The cooperation has also facilitated market studies in the European Union and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) regions, leading to 12 commercial deals for six Jordanian firms in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

In terms of skills development and employment, the collaboration has yielded 12 specialized training programs, with 341 young participants enrolled. Out of these, 297 completed the program, and 158 graduates have successfully secured employment positions.

Nidal Bitar, CEO of Intaj, remarked that the partnership's results lay a solid foundation for future projects that align the development of Jordanian talent with company and market needs. The next phase will aim to enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian companies in new markets and prepare youth for roles in the digital outsourcing sector. This initiative aligns with the Economic Modernization Vision's goals of advancing the IT sector and boosting employment and export prospects.

Dr. Ghadeer Khafash, CEO of EFE-Jordan, emphasized that the partnership has informed the design of programs tailored to the actual needs of companies and the labor market. These programs have facilitated training, employment, and business opportunities over recent years. The projects under development will equip Jordanian youth with the skills necessary for the digital outsourcing sector, thereby enhancing their competitiveness and ensuring sustainable employment opportunities, while also supporting companies in their quest for qualified talent.

Both organizations have agreed to finalize the development of proposed projects, set priorities, and outline implementation strategies in the near future. This endeavor aims to enhance the readiness of Jordanian youth for the job market and bolster the presence of Jordanian firms in the regional and international technology and outsourcing services sectors.
