IEC Launches Platform to Train Jordanian Poll Workers

Amman: The Independent Election Commission (IEC) launched “Jahez-Ready,” an electoral training platform, on Tuesday. The platform is aimed at building the capacity of electoral officials and enhancing their field and organizational readiness as part of the commission’s preparations for the upcoming elections.

According to Jordan News Agency, the IEC stated that applicants must register on the platform, complete the approved training program, and obtain an official certificate. These are “essential” conditions for competing in the recruitment of temporary staff who will support and oversee various electoral aspects. However, the commission emphasized that holding a certificate is merely the first step in entering the competition cycle and does not guarantee a role in the voting process.

The platform, “Jahez-Ready,” offers an “integrated” training system covering the legal, procedural, and technical aspects related to the various stages of the electoral process. The IEC has invited Jordanians interested in participating to register via the “Jahez” platform at https://rfe.iec.jo.
