Amman: Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Mazen Qadi, met with Azerbaijan Ambassador to the Kingdom, Shahin Abdullayev, to discuss enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in parliamentary cooperation.
According to Jordan News Agency, during the meeting at the House's headquarters, Qadi highlighted the robust Jordanian-Azerbaijani relations and emphasized the need to strengthen ties at all levels. He advocated for expanding areas of joint cooperation, including creating opportunities for mutual investment to serve both countries' common interests.
Qadi reiterated Jordan's commitment, under His Majesty King Abdullah II's leadership, to achieving security and stability in the region. He affirmed the Kingdom's support for the two-state solution as a means to restore the rights of the Palestinian people.
The Azerbaijani Ambassador praised the bilateral relations and commended Jordan's efforts, under the King's leadership, in promoting regional stability and peaceful solutions to crises. He expressed his country's eagerness to enhance cooperation in various fields, especially in economic, trade, and investment sectors, aiming to expand prospects for joint efforts to achieve mutual interests.
