House Finance committee, Kurdistan Parliament delegation talk cooperation

Amman: Lower House Finance Committee head, MP Nimr Sulaihat, met with Chairman of the Finance Committee in Iraq’s Kurdistan Parliament, Ziad Jabbar, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, Sulaihat stressed the committee’s keenness to present various cooperation to Kurdistan’s Parliament and exchange expertise to serve mutual interests.

Sulaihat also briefed the delegation on the mechanism to approve financial bills, referred by the government.

In this regard, he noted the committee has powers to reject, amend or approve draft laws, to be endorsed accordingly to their constitutional stages and finally published in the Official Gazette and date to take effect.

Meanwhile, the House’s Economy and Investment Committee,MP Omar Niber, said Jordan’s Parliament seeks to exchange expertise, calling on strengthening joint relations, especially in trade and economic fields.

For his part, Jabbar stressed keenness to strengthen the two parliaments’ relations.
