The Lower House’s Energy and Mineral Resources Committee on Saturday visited the operations room at the Jordan Electric Power Company (JEPCO), to determine reasons and causes of power outages in several areas in Amman, during the snowy depression that affected the Kingdom in the past few days.
A committee statement sited its head MP Firas Ajarmeh, as saying that power outages causes were reviewed and that the committee will hold a meeting on Monday to discuss all the information it received during the visit, with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) Chairman of the Board of Commissioners and all stakeholders in this regard.
