Hot weather forecast is forecast over the weekend with mercury levels remaining in the 30-34 in the highlands across the Kingdom. Blistering heat is expected in the Jordan Valley and the Gulf Aqaba where temperatures are expected to be above the 40-degrees Celsius barrier.
In Aqaba, temps are forecast to hit 42 degrees and 43 in the southern part of the Jordan Valley, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department. It said the forecast is expected to remain unchanged until Saturday as temperatures rise 3 to 4 degrees above seasonal average.
