The Higher Ministerial Commission on Public Sector Reform Implementation Monday held its first meeting to discuss progress and the roadmap for implementing the public sector reform programme against the government’s priorities.
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh noted the preparations to institutionalise the follow-up process and the latest developments related to establishing a management and implementation unit for the executive programme for public sector modernisation and digitalisation.
The Commission discussed the importance of national dialogue to present the outputs of the roadmap and discuss them with the concerned groups.
Commission members said that the government is committed to conducting all necessary studies, evaluations, and legal, technical and administrative reviews before implementing the initiatives in the roadmap.
The Cabinet approved two weeks ago the roadmap and executive programme for reforming the public sector for 2022-2025 and formed teams and committees charged with its implementation.
