HEC Appoints New Leaders for Yarmouk and Tafila Technical Universities

Amman: The Higher Education Council (HEC) has announced the appointment of new presidents for two prominent universities in Jordan. Dr. Malek Sharairi has been named the President of Yarmouk University, while Dr. Hassan Shalabi will take over as President of Tafila Technical University. Both appointments are for a four-year term and will commence upon the issuance of the Royal Decree approving these decisions.

According to Jordan News Agency, the decision was made during a session of the HEC held on Thursday, which was chaired by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Mahafzah. The session focused on selecting suitable candidates to lead these institutions in alignment with the council’s vision for the future of higher education in the country. The newly appointed presidents are expected to steer their respective universities towards academic excellence and innovation.
