HEAC chairman, Kuwaiti cultural attaché discuss academic cooperation

Chairman of Higher Education Accreditation Commission (HEAC), Dhafer Sarayreh, on Monday met with Kuwaiti Cultural Attaché in Jordan, Chairman of the Council of Arab Cultural Advisers, Bader Mutairi.

The meeting discussed aspects of academic cooperation and the overall issues of interest to Arab students wishing to study in Jordan.

In the meeting, both officials tackled coordination between the two sides on a number of issues related to accreditation, quality assurance, the national framework for qualifications, enhancing joint scientific and cultural cooperation, and crystallizing aspects of cooperation that serve to enhance partnership and improve general educational outcomes, and Arab international students in particular.

Sarayreh briefed the Kuwaiti official on HEAC’s achievements in the previous years with regard to controlling the quality of higher education and its role in motivating higher education institutions towards openness and interaction with universities and focusing on accreditation and international quality programs for the purpose of achieving advanced global rankings.

Mutairi, in turn, lauded the good scientific reputation of Jordanian universities, as a first choice for those wishing to study in them, due to their distinguished quality regionally and globally.
