Amman: The Green Steps Project, spearheaded by the Nusaybah Mazniyeh School in the al-Jizah District, concluded its activities on Wednesday. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with Green Jordan, supported by the Polish Embassy, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Education.
According to Jordan News Agency, during the closing ceremony, Saad Sakarna, the Director of Education for al-Jizah, emphasized the critical importance of environmental education in building sustainable communities. The event was attended by Polish Ambassador Lucjan Karpinski and Green Jordan Director Farah Qaseri, who witnessed the project’s impact on the local school community.
Sakarna highlighted the project’s aim to empower students to take the lead in environmental conservation efforts, both within their schools and in their broader communities. He commended the initiative’s potential for transformation and expressed optimism for its expansion to other schools within the district. Sakarna noted that integrating env
ironmental friendliness into schools not only enhances the educational environment but also instills essential values of conservation and sustainability in students.
During the ceremony, students proudly displayed their achievements, which included various recycling and agricultural projects. These activities have significantly contributed to the increase of green spaces within their school, showcasing the tangible benefits of the Green Steps Project.
