Gaza Health Ministry: 70 Killed in Israeli Bombings, Death Toll Reaches 61,897

Gaza: Seventy Palestinians were killed and 385 wounded in Israeli bombings and air strikes across the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, the Gaza Health Ministry said on Saturday.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ongoing aggression by Israel, which began on October 7, 2023, has resulted in a death toll that has now reached 61,897. The total number of injuries has climbed to 155,660. The ministry reported that many victims remain under the rubble of targeted buildings and on roads, which are inaccessible to civil defense and ambulance teams.

The ministry also noted that 26 dead and 175 injured people, who were targeted by Israeli forces at aid distribution points, arrived in hospitals across Gaza. This has increased the number of “bread martyrs” to 1,924, with more than 14,288 injured.

Additionally, Gaza hospitals have recorded 11 fatalities, including 1 child, due to starvation and malnutrition in the last 24 hours. This raises the total number of such fatalities to 251, including 108 children.
