Gaza: 57 Children Die from Malnutrition Amid Deepening Healthcare Crisis

Gaza: The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday that 57 children have died from malnutrition and related health complications, as the humanitarian and healthcare situation in the Strip continues to deteriorate.

According to Jordan News Agency, the announcement was made in conjunction with the launch of the Global Campaign in Solidarity with the Children of Gaza. In its statement, the Ministry accused Israeli occupation forces of systematically starving over two million Palestinians by closing border crossings, blocking food and medical aid, and cutting water supplies, warning that health conditions in Gaza have reached extremely dangerous levels.

The Ministry reported that since the beginning of the Israeli aggression, 16,278 children have been killed. It added that the destruction of most primary healthcare centers has deprived children and pregnant women of essential medical services.

The Ministry also warned of dire consequences resulting from the ongoing ban on the entry of polio vaccines, which threatens to dismantle decades of preventive healthcare efforts and spark potential outbreaks.
