Amman: Fire crews from East Amman Civil Defense Department responded early Wednesday morning to a fire that broke out in an apartment in Khreibet Al-Souq neighborhood of the capital governorate. The incident resulted in injuries to five members of the same family, who suffered burns of varying degrees and respiratory distress due to smoke inhalation.
According to Jordan News Agency, paramedics provided first aid to the injured family and evacuated them to the hospital for treatment. After conducting an investigation, authorities revealed that the fire was caused by a gas leak from a heater.
