Fourteen Arrested in Nationwide Drug Operations

Amman:The Anti-Narcotics Department has arrested 14 individuals involved in drug trafficking, promotion, and smuggling in eight separate cases across the Kingdom. Various quantities of narcotic substances were confiscated during these operations, according to the Public Security Directorate.

According to Jordan News Agency, in Balqa Governorate, authorities arrested a suspect found in possession of one kilogram of heroin. In Amman, two raids led to the arrest of individuals classified as dangerous and wanted for drug-related offenses. Firearms and narcotics were recovered from these individuals.

In the southern city of Karak, authorities acted on information about two individuals connected to regional gangs preparing to smuggle a large quantity of narcotic pills to a neighboring country. Officers arrested the suspects and seized 75,000 narcotic pills hidden in a cargo vehicle.

At Queen Alia International Airport, in collaboration with security agencies and Jordan Customs, a suspect was apprehended while attempting to receive a package containing half a kilogram of crystal methamphetamine.

In the Northern Badia areas, authorities conducted three operations. In the first, they raided a drug dealer's home, arresting him and another person present, and seized one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine, 10 blocks of hashish, and 4,000 narcotic pills. In the second operation, a drug dealer was stopped and arrested while transporting narcotics toward Zarqa, with 7,000 narcotic pills seized. In the third, officers arrested two individuals and confiscated 4,000 narcotic pills from them.

In Mafraq Governorate, a raid on a house used for storing narcotics resulted in the arrest of three people and the seizure of eight blocks of hashish.
