Former Health Ministry Employee Detained Over Embezzlement Charges

Amman: The public prosecutor for integrity and anti-corruption decided to detain a former employee of the Ministry of Health for 15 days pending investigation at Marka Correction and Rehabilitation Center on felony embezzlement charges.

According to Jordan News Agency, the employee embezzled JD129,000 over multiple periods during his work at one of the ministry's health centers. The Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission had previously referred the case to the public prosecution.
