Amman: Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Dhaifallah Fayez and Secretary (South) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India Neena Malhotra have signed several memoranda of understanding to enhance bilateral cooperation. Signed during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Kingdom, these agreements aim to strengthen the partnership between Jordan and India.
According to Jordan News Agency, the memoranda include a cooperation agreement between Jordan's Ministry of Water and Irrigation and India's Ministry of Water Resources on water resources management and development. Another significant agreement was signed between Jordan's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy focusing on renewable energy cooperation.
Additionally, the two countries have agreed on a cultural exchange programme for 2025-2029, a twinning agreement between Petra and the Ellora Caves, and a letter of intent for cooperation in digital transformation. These agreements are designed to expand the scope of cooperation and serve the mutual interests of both nations and their people.
