Foreign Ministry announces evacuation of 10 Jordanians from Lebanon

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced on Sunday the evacuation of 10 Jordanian citizens from Lebanon.

Following royal orders, the evacuated Jordanians were transported by a Royal Jordanian Air Force military aircraft that carried food, relief supplies, medications, and medical equipment.

According to Sufyan Al-Qudah, the ministry’s spokesperson, Jordan has already sent 14 relief flights to the Lebanese people, including two military aircraft that arrived at Rafik Hariri International Airport on Sunday.

He noted that 174 Jordanian nationals were evacuated from Lebanon on Royal Air Force aircraft, and that each of them had registered on the electronic evacuation platform at the Jordanian Embassy in Lebanon.

In light of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanese territory, he continued, the Ministry, in collaboration with the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army, security agencies, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, developed a plan that i
ncludes the evacuation operations. The plan aims to secure the return of Jordanian citizens in Lebanon to the Kingdom.

Al-Qudah noted that since the beginning of August, 3,353 Jordanian citizens have arrived in the Kingdom from Lebanon through Queen Alia International Airport, in addition to the numbers that arrived by land through the Jaber border center.

Al-Qudah emphasized that the Jordanian Embassy in Lebanon continues to provide assistance in evacuating Jordanian citizens from Lebanon by air, as well as securing their return by land to the Kingdom through Syrian territory, noting that the embassy is constantly monitoring the conditions of the Jordanian community in Lebanon and that they are all fine and no injuries have been recorded among them.
