Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi held extensive talks on Monday with Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Al-Shaybani on the sidelines of a ministerial meeting preparing for an extraordinary Arab League summit. The discussions focused on developments in Syria, with Safadi reaffirming Jordan’s support for Syria’s security, stability, and territorial integrity.
According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi also condemned Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, warning of their potentially disastrous impact on regional security and stability. He stressed the need to uphold international law and called for Israel’s withdrawal from all Syrian land.
The two ministers agreed to maintain coordination and consultations to strengthen bilateral relations across various fields.
