He called for crystallizing an Arab mechanism to resolve the Syrian crisis and kick-starting a joint Arab effort to reach a political solution to the crisis that preserves Syria, protects its people, prioritizes its interests over considerations of regional and international agendas conflicts, protects the rights of Syrian refugees and continuing aids to them.
“We must also be part of efforts to resolve crises in Libya and Yemen. And let us work to prevent further deterioration in Lebanon, support Iraq’s stability and security, and protect its gains as an Arab duty and a necessity to preserve the stability of the region,” the foreign minister underscored.
He pointed out that “Egypt’s water security is an integral part of our national security. The security of the Arab Gulf is the security of all of us,” calling for a collective response to interference in Arab affairs.
The Kingdom, he added, will remain a partner in activating joint Arab action that calls for comprehensive Arab cooperation, and will remain a supporter for brothers, a voice for Palestinian rights, and will devote all its capabilities to safeguard Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem under the Hashemite custodianship.
“We will all work together to confront climate challenges, achieve health and food security, increase economic cooperation that creates jobs, achieve Arab integration and comprehensive development, so that our tomorrow in the Arab world will be better than today, and the Arab time will be a secure, accomplished, bright and prosperous,” he said.
