AMMAN: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi received a phone call from Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg on Thursday, during which the two discussed the ongoing situation in Syria. The conversation focused on Syria’s safety, security, unity, and the importance of a Syrian-led political process.
According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to Syria’s coherence, sovereignty, and public safety. He reiterated support for a comprehensive political process that is led by Syrians, ensuring it aligns with their aspirations and safeguards their rights.
The discussion also touched upon the bilateral relationship between Jordan and Austria. Both ministers expressed a mutual desire to enhance their nations’ ties through increased collaboration across various fields.
