Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi held a telephone call Monday with Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad Nasser Bourita to discuss ways to strengthen the longstanding relations between the two Kingdoms and review regional developments.
According to Jordan News Agency, the two ministers expressed their keenness to expand cooperation across various fields to serve the interests of both countries. Safadi and Bourita focused on regional issues, particularly the war on Gaza and the situation in the West Bank. They emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire in Gaza, fully implementing its provisions, ensuring the unimpeded and sustained delivery of humanitarian aid, and progressing toward the second phase of the agreement. The ministers linked stability to a clear political horizon that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people.
Additionally, Safadi and Bourita highlighted the need to halt the dangerous escalation and unilateral, illegal Israeli measures in the occupied West Bank. They affirmed that coordination would continue on bilateral cooperation as well as on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
