Safadi called for reaching a solution between the United States and Iran that restores the region's security and stability on the basis of addressing all the previous causes of tension. The two sides also discussed the situation in Lebanon, as Safadi stressed the need to solidify the ceasefire and support the Lebanese government in its efforts to assert its sovereignty over all Lebanese territory and ensure weapons are "solely in the hands of the state." Safadi underlined the need to stabilize Gaza, ensure the unimpeded and sustainable delivery of aid, and halt illegal Israeli actions in the occupied West Bank, including settlement activity, settler violence, land confiscation, and attempts to alter the historical and legal status quo of Jerusalem's Islamic and Christian holy sites. Discussing the situation in Syria, the duo affirmed the importance of Syria's stability and security and support for the Syrian government in its reconstruction efforts.
