Irbid: Firefighting teams from the East Irbid Civil Defence Department responded to a fire that broke out at a chemical plant in Al-Hassan Industrial City in Irbid. The incident took place at a pesticide storage tank, leading to a blast and a subsequent flash fire in the vicinity.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Public Security Directorate media office reported that fourteen individuals sustained injuries, primarily cuts and bruises, due to the incident. The firefighting teams managed to extinguish the blaze, which affected an area of 25 square meters. Their swift action successfully prevented the fire from spreading to the rest of the two-story facility, which covers approximately 3,500 square meters.
Paramedics on the scene provided first aid to the injured before they were transported to the nearest hospital for further medical care. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
