FinTech Academy and MENA Fintech Association Sign Cooperation Agreement

Amman:The FinTech Academy, affiliated with the Institute of Banking Studies, and the MENA Fintech Association have signed a memorandum of understanding to create a framework for cooperation and knowledge exchange among fintech professionals and institutions in Jordan and the region. According to Jordan News Agency, the MoU was signed during the Jordan FinTech Festival 2026, aiming to promote dialogue and cooperation across the fintech ecosystem. This initiative seeks to connect local expertise with regional and international practices. Institute of Banking Studies Director General Riyad Hindawi described the agreement as an opportunity for the Jordan FinTech Academy to engage more closely with the region's growing fintech sector. He emphasized the importance of cross-border knowledge and expertise exchange, noting that stronger institutional links can foster joint learning and regional experience sharing. MENA Fintech Association President and Founder Nameer Khan welcomed the agreement, highlighting its ro le in strengthening the association's regional presence and connecting Jordan's fintech community with regional counterparts. Khan noted the rapid growth of Jordan's fintech ecosystem and underscored the importance of cooperation among specialized institutions to support innovation and growth. The MoU outlines a basis for joint initiatives, including knowledge and expertise exchange, specialized events and meetings, learning and professional development opportunities, and activities related to fintech and digital transformation. This agreement comes as the financial sector undergoes rapid changes, with fintech, artificial intelligence, digital payments, data analytics, and cybersecurity increasingly influencing the future of financial services.
