Federation of Yemeni Trade Unions organizes press conference, solidarity vigil with the Palestinian people

The General Federation of Yemeni Trade Unions held on Saturday in the capital Sana'a a press conference in solidarity with the Palestinian people. At the conference, the Secretary-General of the Union, Abdulkarim Al-Atnah, read out the solidarity statement in which he affirmed the Union's support for the honorable positions of the Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi towards Palestine and its valiant resistance through heroic military operations in support of Palestine. The statement condemned the massacres committed by the Zionist enemy against civilians, workers, factories, and all means of livelihood in Palestine, the American escalation in the Red Sea, and the establishment of an alliance to protect Israeli ships. The statement called on the countries bordering the Gaza Strip to lift the unjust siege and bring in food and medical supplies, denouncing the establishment of a land shipping line from Dubai through Saudi Arabia and Jordan to deliver food supplies to the occupying entity . The union also decried the World Food Program's cessation of its activities in the free provinces as an American means of pressure to dissuade the Yemeni people from their positions with Gaza. In the statement, the Union praised the decision of the Ministry of Trade and Industry to boycott American and Israeli goods and prevent their entry into Yemen, as well as the issuance of a law criminalizing normalization with Israel. Following the press conference, the participants carried out a vigil in solidarity with the workers and people of Palestine. The statement of the vigil indicated that this vigil is an expression of the permanent and consistent trend towards championing the rights and issues of oppressed peoples. The statement called on all free people in the world to continue their movement through demonstrations and sit-ins to put pressure on the Zionist entity and those behind it to stop its war on the people of Gaza and all of Palestine immediately.
