Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Fayez met, in presence of director of Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), Abdul Razzaq Arabiat, representatives of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) to discuss tourism issues.

According to a JTB press statement on Thursday, Fayez said discussions highlighted developments related to Jordan’s tourism sector, pointing to the importance of the hospitality industry, as a main leverage of the national economy.

Speaking at the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, Fayez highlighted Jordan’s vision to increasing the tourism momentum after Covid-19-induced disruption in the tourism sector and the impact on its workers.

Noting Jordan’s various tourism components, he pointed to the procedures and health safety protocols that have been implemented, which have earned confidence of British and foreign visitors in the Kingdom’s tourist destinations.

This step comes with the aim of enhancing the Kingdom’s position on the world tourism map, Arabiat pointed out.

Participation in today’s meeting comes within the framework of the embassy’s continued endeavor to support the Kingdom’s tourism marketing plans in the British market, Dabbas noted.
