Fayez Highlights Jordan’s Commitment to Global Peace at Bosphorus Summit.

Istanbul: Senate President Faisal Fayez announced that Jordan, under King Abdullah II’s leadership, is committed to global efforts aimed at achieving peace, fostering an environment of tolerance, justice, respect for the law, and cooperation. Fayez delivered these remarks during his speech at the 15th Bosphorus Summit in Istanbul, which commenced on Thursday under the theme: “Building Bridges Towards the Future: Peace, Technology and Sustainability.”

According to Jordan News Agency, Fayez praised the strong Jordanian-Turkish relations, which are founded on mutual respect and shared interests. He highlighted the ongoing bilateral communications between the two nations as crucial for securing a stable future for the region and its people. Fayez emphasized that sustainable development remains elusive amid the current global chaos marked by political conflicts and wars.

Fayez underscored the significance of sustainable development as the primary defense against challenges such as hunger, poverty, unemployment,
extremism, terrorism, and the inclination towards hatred and violence. He stressed the importance of effectively integrating technology and modern techniques to meet sustainable development goals.

Furthermore, Fayez advocated for leveraging technology as a proactive tool to avert crises and enable decision-makers to implement preventive measures that protect vulnerable societies and address comprehensive development challenges.
